The first ever AMMA Mead Conference will be held at the Omni International Hotel in Broomfield, Colorado on March 8, 2017, in conjunction with the Mazer Cup International Mead Competition and Mead Mixer.
An all-day series of seminars covering everything from managing mead nutrients to barrel aging mead (with a possible onsite building of an oak barrel), and many subjects in between. We go all day, from 8 AM-5 PM, jam packed with great info.
The seminars will be followed by the evening MeadUp, a 2 hour mingling event to hobnob with fellow mead enthusiasts, featuring meads from around the United States, and some yummy appetizers! You’ll have a break, and then it’s mead and munchies from 7 PM-9 PM.
The Mazer Cup has graciously agreed to extend their hotel discount to cover the AMMA Mead Conference. You can obtain your hotel reservations here. Since the event starts at 8:00 AM, we strongly recommend that you plan to arrive on March 7.
The Art of Mead Tasting and Food Pairing will have a table. This will be the first time the book is available to be seen and touched in person! Unfortunately it appears that the books have a dock date of March 15, so I'm just barely not able to bring the books for same-day sales. But I'll have a table where you can handle and preview the book, and I'll be taking orders for single autographed copies, and for wholesale orders by the case for reselling in your meadery tasting room!
